Our Mission
Point Loma Arts Academy is founded in the belief that the arts provide a window to the soul. Our emphasis is on stimulating imagination and creative freedom within a community of art lovers ranging from children, teenagers, and adults. By valuing the creative process over the product, we hope to develop a reverence for, and delight in, all creation.

As educator Maria Montessori stated, "Play is the work of children." Point Loma Arts Academy offers a unique approach to art by nurturing and encouraging art-making based on the joy of play. We recognize the artistic ability inherent in everyone. We believe that as the child grows with their artistic experiences, they will gain an intellectual understanding of the ideas and techniques presented.
