About Point Loma Arts Academy
Our Program
Point Loma Arts Academy annually holds a summer arts and/or drama program which takes place every July. Since 1980, PLAA has been providing children with a wonderful arts experience, comprised of a morning visual arts session and an afternoon drama session. Children may choose to participate in one or both sessions. Each session is three hours long and encompasses a variety of projects and activities. Our Location Point Loma Arts Academy is located on the site of All Souls' Episcopal Church where it has been housed since conception in 1980. Address: 1475 Catalina Boulevard, San Diego, CA 92107 Who May Attend Point Loma Arts Academy’s morning session is open to children in kindergarten to 8th grade. The afternoon drama session is open to second grade to ninth grade with an interest in theater. Upcoming eighth graders are allegible to become TA's. Children are exposed to art forms such as ceramics, painting, puppet-making, music, and various forms of dance and song. The Point Loma Arts Academy strives to include art, music and dance from all over the world. Visiting artists come to the Academy to share ideas, experiences, art techniques, and cultures. |
